The North East Accountancy Awards 2018 will take place at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead on Thursday 28 June and we are proud to be finalists in 2 categories.
RG is a finalist in the category of Accountancy Firm of the Year (51-200 employees).
RGCF is a finalist for Corporate Finance Deal of the Year, being nominated for having advised the shareholders of Van Mildert on the sale of a 75% shareholding in the business to London based Aldington Capital. Newcastle based Van Mildert carries out tenant references for letting agents using technology that allows the agents to order, track and receive tenant references at the click of a button.
The company which was set up 8 years ago by Christian Balshen and Richard Hammond, has received significant investment from Aldington Capital. The RGCF team, led by partner Carl Swansbury, alongside David Nixon and Alex Simpson, advised the Van Mildert shareholders on the transaction. Tax advice was provided by the RG’s Simon Hopwood and Charlie Burton.
