The sixth Belsay Horse Trials were held on the weekend of 2 and 3 June 2018 in the picturesque setting of Belsay Hall/Gardens. RG were delighted to support the event once again as a Platinum Sponsor.
A weekend of cloudy, and at times rainy weather, did not dampen spirits and visitors enjoyed a fantastic two days of sporting action, family entertainment and fun. Highlights included a brand new water complex, The Barbour Splash, which provided plenty of action for competitors and spectators alike throughout the weekend.
Laura and Peter de Wesselow again did a magnificent job of organising the event. Laura commented “We have had a brilliant, action packed weekend with no injuries to horses or riders. Competitors were full of praise for the event, our team and all of our fabulous volunteers. We have done a lot of work to ensure that our ground was good and I think it was perfect – the best in the country. We are now pushing for an an international event here at Belsay so watch this space!
The RG sponsored BE 90 Section M was won by the Hobday team’s Sebastian Roldan Olivera on Shadow Sapphire. RG’s Paul Charlton and Deborah Graham are pictured above presenting an award to one of the competitors in the section.
