Ambitious North East based business Westerhope Tile Centre (WTC) has appointed leading business advisor RG Corporate Finance (RGCF) to help it prepare for future expansion.
The Company has enjoyed annual growth in both sales and profits each year since it was founded in 2005 by Leo and Angela Brown.
WTC opened its first showroom in Redburn Road, Newcastle, and from modest beginnings has established two further showrooms in North Shields and Sunderland, resulting in the Company delivering revenue of £3.7m in its most recent financial year.
As one of the leading tile suppliers in Tyne & Wear, WTC offers quality ceramic, porcelain, glass and natural stone tiles to both trade and the public, together with adhesives, grout and tools.
The Company also has an inhouse bespoke design capability together with an architectural department which has been involved in a range of projects for a number of high-profile clients including Sandman Hotels, The Apartment Group and the Cairns Group.
WTC has also been involved in several prestigious projects at Wembley Stadium, the Government’s GCHQ intelligence headquarters, Hilton Hotels and computer giant Dell.
Closer to home, it recently supplied tiles for the popular shipping container village on Gateshead’s quayside.
Following strong growth in recent years Mr Brown has now secured the services of Newcastle-based RG Corporate Finance to provide a clear strategy for the firm to achieve greater success.
Mr Brown said: “The company has achieved solid growth over the years and has established an excellent reputation among our private and trade customers both regionally and nationally.
“I’m really proud of what we have achieved but I still have an ambition to grow the business and RG Corporate Finance has the expertise to guide us through this process.”
Adam Cassidy, Corporate Finance Manager at RGCF, said: “Westerhope Tile Centre is a great example of business success inspired by the hard work and vision of its founders.
“We are proud to work with the company to provide the advice and assistance necessary to take it to the next level.”
