In order to have a bit of fun in the run up to Christmas, on 1 December we launched our annual “12 Business Days of Christmas” campaign. There was a Christmas focused question/task on each day with a daily prize.
Prizes were donated by Creative Chameleon Limited, Smartroom, Carl Swansbury, Blagdon Farm Shop, Deborah Graham, Newcastle Eagles, TBP – Trusted Business Partner, Growth Provision, Mary Ann Rogers, Viz and Peter Glenton.
Day 1
Richard Hogarth of Handelsbanken tagged a friend in our post and won a Snowy Delights Christmas hamper donated by Creative Chameleon Limited
Day 2
Nicola Grant of CTP Consulting Engineers won a £100 Amazon voucher donated by Smartroom for guessing that the Christmas reindeer was called Blitzen.
Day 3
Congratulations to Stephen Moran of Nixon Hire who took part in our poll to decide whether Die Hard is a Christmas film and won a bottle of champagne and a Christmas pudding kindly donated by our Corporate Finance partner, Carl Swansbury.
The votes were 91 to 30 that Die Hard is a Christmas film.
Day 4
Joanne Smith of FACT (Fighting All Cancers Together) won a donation to FACT on Day 4 of our competition.
Day 5
Congratulations to Denise Slater of East Lothian Foodbank who posted a picture of her Christmas jumper and won a Christmas hamper courtesy of our clients at Blagdon Farm.
Day 6
Aaron Morris of Jackson Hogg won a bottle of champagne donated by audit partner Deborah Graham for taking part in our survey about whether Yorkshire puddings should feature on your plate for Christmas lunch.
The results are in and 74% are in favour of having Yorkshire puddings on Christmas day!
Day 7
Congratulations to Steven Brown of KBL Advisory Limited who correctly guessed that there were 66 gingerbread people in our picture. He won a hospitality table for 4 kindly donated by our friends at Newcastle Eagles.
Day 8
Douglas Montgomerie of Lowes Financial Management won £100 vouchers for Tomahawk steak restaurants donated by TBP – Trusted Business Partner by confirming correctly that the North East landmark is the Angel of the North.
Day 9
Congratulations to Emma Burgess of Hay & Kilner who correctly guessed that RG has celebrated 122 Christmases. Emma won a Northumbrian Spiced Christmas Gift Hamper kindly donated by Growth Provision.
Day 10
Sally Johnston won a set of Mary Ann Rogers mugs by telling us that New Zealand is the first country to celebrate Christmas Day.
Day 11
Congratulations to Jordan Kain of Prestige Recruitment Specialists who correctly guessed it was true that Santa’s suit was originally green. Jordan won a Viz bundle kindly donated by our friends at Viz.
Day 12
On the final day of our competition, Billy Stephenson of Stephenson Executive Search won a bottle of 1977 Grahams vintage port kindly donated by Peter Glenton by correctly stating that the Christmas dinner in the image was real.
