The technology team from RGCF, in partnership with Weightmans and Nigel Wright Group, were delighted to welcome many technology sector business owners and entrepreneurs across the North–East on Wednesday 5th March 2025 to an exclusive technology sector focussed event.
Our special guest for the event was Steve Nelson, a highly respected and successful technology entrepreneur from the North-East who shared his knowledge and experience in a very open and engaging reflection on his career. Steve is passionate about the North -East and technology in the North-East. This was followed by a panel discussion, involving Steve, Nick Johnson, CF partner at RGCF and technology lead for RGCF, Nick Gray, Principal Associate at Weightmans and Megan Johnson, Associate Director at Nigel Wright Group. The discussion was chaired by Alex Simpson, CF Director at RGCF.
We discussed and debated a number of topics, including the challenges faced by many early-stage tech businesses and to overcome them, the options for funding organic growth and M&A, and the importance of having a strong management team and good advisors onboard.
