During this difficult time, it may well be that your company is unable to file its accounts with Companies House before its filing deadline, specifically as a result of Covid-19. If this is the case, then you may make an application to extend the period allowed for filing.
Companies must still take appropriate measures to ensure that accounts are filed on time and should file the accounts online if able to. If this is something you are unable to do, then please let us know as we may be able to help.
If it is likely that are you unable to meet your filing deadline, you should apply for an extension as soon as possible, stating your company number, email address and information about your extension reasons, i.e. the impact of Covid 19.
Late filing penalties will be imposed if you do not apply for an extension and your accounts have been filed late. Any appeals will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
