Accounts and Outsourced Services Manager, Amanda Cooper goes under the spotlight!

What is your role within RG?

I am a manager working within our Accounts and Outsourced Services division, looking after a variety of clients, particularly those in the agriculture and landed estates sector.

Tell me about your career to date…

I joined RG as a placement student in my third year of University, continued my employment during my final year and subsequently starting a training contract to become a Chartered Accountant after obtaining a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics.

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2017 and I made the decision to work alongside Helen Pennock, our agriculture and landed estates partner, to enable me to become a specialist in the sector. I was subsequently promoted to Manager in 2019.

What does your current role involve?

Each and every day is different, which is great!

My main role is to manage our client portfolio, schedule and review work the team has prepared and produce detailed client meeting packs ahead of upcoming meetings.

I’m also a part of our agriculture and landed estates marketing team which involves producing bi-annual journals and regularly catching up with other professionals who also specialise in the sector.

What makes RG different?

I believe it’s the relationships we have with our clients: we are always on hand to support their needs.

Due to the breadth of our service offering we are able to provide advice on all relevant financial areas, ensuring each client receives the advice they require.

My 3 most notable achievements to date would be….

Achieving a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics.

Passing all 15 Chartered exams first time and becoming a Chartered accountant.

Being promoted to Manager within 21 months of obtaining my qualification.

I am always spending time with friends, family and our amazing dog. I also enjoy going on as many holidays as possible and I can’t wait to tick more countries off my list once we can travel again.

I love to go to the gym and I’m currently training to ensure I am in the best possible shape for my wedding, which will hopefully go ahead in July.

And finally, leave us with one interesting fact about yourself…

I have an identical twin sister who I can’t go without speaking to or seeing, each and every day.
